Massive Attack was eagerly awaited on the stage of the Roman Theatre in 2020, so the show’s cancellation last June immediately raised questions: would the concert be rescheduled for summer 2021? It is now a done deal as the date has been confirmed in Vienne. The British band that pioneered trip-hop will delight their audience at the Roman Theatre of Vienne on Thursday, 10th June 2021.

After a performance in Vienne in 2006, Massive Attack is finally due for a comeback with one of their
4 concerts in France in 2021. Their new EP Eutopia was released in July 2020, right in the middle of the COVID situation, and stands as a real manifesto for tackling climate emergency. The band is a long-time
environmental advocate and prepares for an environmentally responsible tour. Robert del Naja, one of
Massive Attack’s founder members, wrote: “We’re announcing the commissioning of the renowned Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research to map the full carbon footprint of typical tour cycles, and to look specifically at the three key areas where CO2 emissions in our sector are generated.” The band also commits to present options that will be timely implemented for their next tour and to share the study’s resulting roadmap with “other touring acts, promoters and festival/venue owners to assist swift and significant emissions reductions.”
